What does it feel like to have taqwa? If we only knew. What a relief from the stresses of life it is, to feel taqwa.
Taqwa, that sense of true consciousness of Allah, in the heart. Where self consciousness melts away, and your consciousness shifts to Someone More Grand, More Great, More Honorable, Allah, the King of Kings.
A little success story: I went to the mall the other day, dealing with my usual OCD stress out about wasting time. I was on edge, and felt like I couldn’t stay there a minute longer, because it was wasting my precious time. Then it was time for prayer. As I entered my prayer I was completely on edge, and frustrated. But as I came out of it, I felt a strong sense of peace and tranquility. I was experiencing the feelings of consciousness of Allah. And what an amazing experience it is I must tell you!

These feelings carried me through the grocery shopping the rest of the evening. I no longer was on edge to hurry up through it. I didn’t feel like I was wasting more time. I was just calm, chill, and at ease. It was amazing. It was much easier to cope with my OCD, and I felt like I was an overall better and more enjoyable person to be around.
These feelings lasted until I got stressed again out when my family was taking too much time at the mall after isha prayer, and it was getting too late for me. My other major OCD stress of getting to bed early kicked in. But anyways, what a therapeutic remedy for OCD Taqwa is. Let me end this short post with the famous words of our Prophet (peace be upon him)
?”??????? ????? ????
I encourage you to be Conscious of Allah
